Description

We are seeking a junior to mid-level OSHA, Environmental, and Transportation Associate to join our growing team in our Washington, DC Office. We have a top-tier regulatory practice, offering associates meaningful client responsibility, direct exposure to sophisticated legal issues, and the opportunity to work on complex matters for leading clients. This is a partnership-track position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic counsel to clients on OSHA, environmental, and transportation compliance matters, including regulatory compliance, enforcement actions, and risk mitigation.
  • Advise clients on regulatory investigations, inspections, and enforcement proceedings before federal and state agencies.
  • Work closely alongside our leading regulatory attorneys in a premier practice at the forefront of OSHA, environmental, and transportation law and assume meaningful client-facing responsibility.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in OSHA, environmental, transportation, and related regulatory matters.
  • Experience with compliance counseling, administrative law, regulatory policy development, and enforcement litigation is preferred.
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent analytical, research, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, and maintain attention to detail. 
  • A desire to learn, take direction, and thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment is essential.
  • Must be admitted to the DC Bar and in good standing, or eligible to waive into the DC Bar.

Work Environment

  • This position is based in our Washington, DC Office with a hybrid work arrangement consistent with the Firm’s Telework Policy for Professionals. New lateral associates can expect to spend more time in the office initially to support onboarding, training, and collaboration, with increased flexibility over time based on experience and performance.
  • You will receive mentorship from partners and senior attorneys and have opportunities to work on complex matters and develop client relationships.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer an excellent benefit package, a bonus plan, and salary commensurate with experience. For this position, the salary range is $170,000 - $185,000, which represents the presently anticipated low and high ends of our salary range for this role. Actual salary may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to job-related experience. A full and comprehensive healthcare package is offered (medical, prescription drugs, vision, and dental).
