Peter Craddock Quoted in Global Data Review Article on TikTok’s Parent Company, Bytedance

Keller and Heckman Partner Peter Craddock was quoted in the Global Data Review article, “TikTok loses DMA interim order case.” The article provides insight as to why TikTok’s parent firm, Bytedance, has lost an attempt for an interim suspension of its designation as a gatekeeper under the Digital Markets Act.

Peter, who has advised gatekeeper firms on data protection aspects of the Digital Markets Act, said that the interim “order doesn’t really support the idea there are sufficient guarantees” around the commission protecting confidential information other than business secrets, in relation to profiling technique information.
