Herb Estreicher Quoted in Article on Updated Hazardous Substance SIN List

Keller and Heckman Partner Herb Estreicher was quoted in the Bloomberg Law article, “Hazardous Substance SIN List Updated by International Chemical Secretariat.” The article discusses how the International Chemical Secretariat (ChemSec), an advocacy group that campaigns for the phaseout of toxic chemicals, published an update on October 8 to its Substitute It Now! (SIN) list of hazardous chemicals that ChemSec says should be classified as substances of very high concern (SVHCs) under the European Union REACH regulation.

The SIN List update adds 10 suspected endocrine-disrupting chemicals; 13 substances thought to be persistent, bioaccumulative, and toxic (PBT) or very persistent and very bioaccumulative (vPvB) and four substances said to be carcinogenic, mutagenic, or reprotoxic (CMR).
