David Fischer Quoted in a Chemical Watch Article on Recent Release of TSCA Risk Evaluation Candidates

Keller and Heckman Counsel David Fischer was quoted in the Chemical Watch article, “Why the US EPA’s recent release of TSCA risk evaluation candidates has reignited a debate over ‘pre-prioritisation.’” The article examines the disagreement over the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) consideration of certain substances as candidates for the next round of Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) risk evaluation.

David commented that he was “a bit surprised” that EPA did not stick with only work plan chemicals. The 30 substances designated by EPA to date have all come from the list, and David said the five ultimately selected for prioritisation will likely “all come from the work plan.”
