Keller and Heckman Partner Katie Bond and Counsel LieAnn Van-Tull will present at the 2025 Annual Food and Drug Law Institute (FDLI) Conference, to be held in Washington, DC, on May 15 - 16, 2025.

Katie will be speaking on the panel “Food Litigation Update: Emerging Trends in Class Actions and Product Liability Cases,” which will explore the latest consumer class action trends, focusing on food labeling disputes such as cases which challenge deceptive health-related marketing claims and allergen mislabeling cases, the growing body of microplastics litigation, and significant food contaminants cases from the past year.

LieAnn will be moderating the panel “Illicit Nicotine: Enforcement, Compliance, and the New Administration,” which will discuss the latest efforts by the multi-agency Federal Enforcement Task Force to crack down on the illicit nicotine market, focusing on upcoming proposals under the new administration to tighten enforcement on online sales and cross-border smuggling. The panel will also examine the potential effects of proposed regulations, such as increased penalties for non-compliant sellers.
