Rebecca Bermudez counsels domestic and foreign clients on global regulatory and compliance matters related to packaging products for food, drugs, and cosmetics. She assists clients in obtaining regulatory clearances for food additives, color additives, and food contact materials in the United States (U.S.), European Union (EU), Asia Pacific, and South America. She also advises clients on establishing self-determined Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) positions and on regulatory requirements governing the use of recycled materials in food contact applications.

While attending The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, Rebecca served as a Student Intern with the U.S. Department of Justice in the Civil Rights Division’s Immigrant and Employee Rights Section. She worked as both a Summer Honors Intern and later as a Research Assistant with the Center for Agriculture and Food Systems at Vermont Law School, where she conducted research and drafted reports on various food law and policy concerns. These experiences enabled her to apply her acquired skills and knowledge to legal challenges within those industries, ultimately providing a foundation for her food and drug practice.
