Azim Chowdhury Quoted in Article on E-liquid Bottling and Packaging Regulations

Keller and Heckman Partner Azim Chowdhury was quoted in the Tobacco Reporter article, “What’s in a Bottle?” The article discusses the regulatory scheme applicable to bottles and packaging for nicotine-containing e-liquids, as implemented by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

Companies must also provide FDA with detailed information on their e-liquid bottle/container closure system in their Premarket Tobacco Product Applications (PMTAs) to demonstrate that the e-liquid, as packaged, is appropriate for the protection of public health.
