The Practical Food Law seminar provides members of the food industry with a comprehensive presentation of the applicable statutory and regulatory framework for foods including dietary supplements. The course will focus on food safety as well as labeling and advertising.

Program highlights include the latest developments on the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), strategies for surviving inspections, recall and enforcement issues, food safety concerns, testing issues, and import requirements. In addition, there will be a focus on advertising and promotion with a particular emphasis on the impact of consumer class action lawsuits, on regulatory and legislative policy governing labeling and advertising, challenging and defending competitive claims, and substantiating "Establishment Claims," as well as other issues in this arena.
Continuing Legal Education (CLE)
This course has been approved for 17.25 CLE credits with The State Bar of California.
CLE credits are available in other states, pending state approval.
