Partners Tony Pavel, Mark Thompson, and Japanese Relations Advisor TK Namba to Present at 2025 Spring Packaging Summit

Keller and Heckman Partners Mark Thompson and Tony Pavel, along with Japanese Relations Advisor Takashi (TK) Namba, will be speaking at the 2025 Spring Packaging Summit hosted by the PLASTICS’ Food, Drug, and Cosmetics Packaging Materials Committee (FDCPMC). The summit will cover new developments, trends, and challenges affecting the food packaging industry, in addition to focusing on issues impacting the entire supply chain.
Mark will be one of the panelists during the session titled, “Synergy in Supply Chains: Supplier and Packaging Trade Associations in Conversation.” Dan Felton, President & CEO of the Flexible Packaging Association, and Paul DeLeo, Senior Director for Chemical Management at the American Chemistry Council will round out the panel.
Tony’s presentation is titled, “Separating Fact From Fiction: Debunking the Widely-Publicized Claim that the United States Permits 10,000 Additives in Food While the European Union Permits Only 400.”
TK will provide an overview of Japan’s Positive List of synthetic resins for utensils, containers, and packaging (UCP) and recently announced petition process for submitting applications to amend or add new substances to the list.
