Partners Ales Bartl, Hazel O'Keeffe, and Rachida Semail to Present at Plastics & Paper in Contact with Foodstuffs 2025

Keller and Heckman Partners Rachida Semail, Hazel O’Keeffe, and Ales Bartl will be among the presenters at the Plastics & Paper in Contact with Foodstuffs 2025 conference, which will take place December 8-10, 2025, in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Rachida will speak on what to include in declarations of compliance (DoC). Her presentation will focus on DoC requirements in the EU and at the national level and new additional information required by the Quality Amendment. Rachida will also advise attendees on the dos and don’ts of preparing a DoC.

Hazel will provide an update on the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). She will discuss the developments that have taken place since the entry into force of the PPWR and review some of the particular challenges for industry related to the PPWR.

Ales will present the Pre-conference Workshop, titled, “PFAS and other upcoming chemicals and sustainability regulations.” The workshop will include an update on universal PFAS restriction, CLP considerations regarding the BPA Regulation, and microplastics restrictions, along with an update on the upcoming revision of the sustainability regulations, the Chemicals Industry Package, and an update on revisions to REACH. Ales will provide advocacy tips and offer suggested legal remedies.
