Keller and Heckman Partner Eve Pelonis will present at the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) Food Improved by Research, Science, and Technology (FIRST) annual Event and Expo on July 10-13, 2022, in Chicago, Illinois, and online. The event will feature programs on global food trends, scientific research on food technology, business trends related to the food industry, and more. The expo is geared toward professionals involved in all aspects of the food industry, from ingredient suppliers to food scientists and investors. Eve prerecorded a session titled, “Protein Fortification and Claims: Understanding Labeling Requirements to Mitigate Litigation Risks,” which focuses on the requirements for protein labeling in the U.S., along with potential litigation risks surrounding protein fortification and protein claims. Additionally, Eve will serve as a panelist for a live Multi-Session Conversation focusing on “What role does labeling play in educating consumers?”
