Charlotte Moutarlier advises clients on regulatory compliance of food, feed, and cosmetic products in the EU, from their placement on the European market, to labelling and advertising, as well as assessing the compliance of claims made on food and cosmetic products. Charlotte also advises clients in the analysis of EU legislation to support their EU public affairs strategies.
Prior to joining Keller and Heckman, Charlotte worked for a European affairs consultancy where she gained strong European policy experience. She also worked as a trainee attorney both in leading Competition Law Firms and the European Commission DG for Competition.
- Reviewed proposed labels for food packaging and provided advice regarding names, ingredients declarations, nutrition labelling, allergen labelling, nutrient content claims, and other marketing claims
- Provided clients with complex legal advice for requirements that arose as a result of legal contention on the topics of labelling, claims, and ingredient status regulations
- Assisted clients by monitoring legislation and policies affecting the regulation of food in the European Union and provided guidance on food safety compliance
