Yai Din presented "China's Growing (health) food industry: How to enter the market and stay in it" at Food Vision Asia 2017. The event was held in Singapore April 25-27th and focused on China's high growth market and the resulting challenges it faces as consumer buying power drives an appetite for a diet predicated on "world food" choice and variety.
Senior figures in Food R&D, and marketing and business strategy professionals from Asian and non-Asian companies came together to leverage opportunities in the expanding market. In Yin's presentation, she offered a well-rounded survey of current laws and regulations governing food products, including a brief history of the development of China’s regulatory framework. She also shared several recent headlines of legal enforcement in e-commerce and reform of the management system for health food, including product registration and notification.
