OSHA 30/30 - July 23, 2014

The Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission recently ruled on a citation contest involving the Bloodborne Pathogens standard.  In that case, OSHA and the employer disputed whether it was necessary for OSHA to establish a reasonable likelihood of contamination.  Program Highlights:

  • Understanding the facts in the case;
  • A basic overview of the bloodborne pathogens standard and when it applies;
  • Defenses raised in that case; and 
  • What employers can do to prepare for OSHA inspections involving BBP standard.
