SMT Magazine published an article written by Keller and Heckman Partner Jean-Cyril (JC) Walker, titled, "RoHS Recast," in its February 2011 issue. In the article, Mr. Walker discusses questions that need to be answered before manufacturers can implement the European Union's proposed recast of Directive 2002/95/EC on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS). The European Council still must approve the proposed directive, and it must be transposed by the Member States before it becomes effective.To read the article, please see the link below.
