Title: Chemist

The Firm is seeking a Chemist for a non-laboratory position in the Washington, DC office. This individual will closely strategize with our attorneys and other staff scientists to assist clients in establishing suitable regulatory status for their products in accordance with applicable food, drug, and medical device regulations. In addition, this individual will work as a team with our attorneys to file petitions with regulatory agencies in the United States (FDA/EPA) and their sister agencies throughout the world. This is not an intellectual property position.

The ideal candidate will be able to interpret complex analytical data and should have a strong proficiency in mathematics. Expertise in organic or polymer chemistry is highly desired. A background in plastics, chemicals, or the packaging industry, and experience with FDA regulations is a plus. The candidate must be able to multi-task, work effectively with others, and write clearly. Graduate Degree in Chemistry is required; Ph.D. Degree preferred. Salary dependent upon qualifications.

Title: Toxicologist

The Firm is currently seeking a Toxicologist for a non-laboratory position in the Washington, DC Office. This individual will assist our attorneys and other staff scientists in advising a broad range of companies on food, drug, and cosmetic safety issues, including the ingredients used in these products. Position requires demonstrated written and verbal communication abilities. Familiarity with government health and safety regulations and experience with FDA, EPA, and Cal EPA methods for performing statistical risk assessments are highly preferred. Experience with exposure estimates and safety evaluations for products of biotechnology are a plus. Graduate Degree in Toxicology is required; Ph.D Degree preferred. Salary dependent upon qualifications.
