Tracy Marshall joined Keller and Heckman in 2002. Ms. Marshall practices in the areas of business counseling and transactional, Internet and privacy, advertising, and intellectual property law.
In the business and transactional area, Ms. Marshall advises for-profit and non-profit clients on corporate organizational, internal operations, and governance matters, and assists clients with structuring and negotiating a variety of transactions, including purchase and sale, licensing, marketing, and e-commerce agreements. In the Internet, privacy, and advertising areas, she helps clients comply with privacy, data security, and consumer protection laws, including laws governing telemarketing and commercial email messages, contests and sweepstakes, endorsements and testimonials, marketing to children, international data transfers, and data breach notification. Ms. Marshall also helps clients draft and implement website terms and conditions and privacy policies. As to intellectual property matters, Ms. Marshall helps clients protect their copyrights and trademarks through registration, infringement actions, and licensing agreements. Ms. Marshall also represents clients in proceedings before the Federal Communications Commission and Federal Trade Commission.
While in law school, Ms. Marshall served as an editor of the American University International Law Review.
