Manesh Rath practices employment, labor, and occupational safety and health (OSHA) law.
Mr. Rath counsels and represents businesses and associations facing employment discrimination charges, wage and hour claims, wrongful termination lawsuits, safety and health citations, union avoidance and ULPs, and in most other areas of human resources law.
In numerous cases nationwide, Mr. Rath has conducted litigation, motions, and trials before state and federal courts and administrative agencies. He has handled cases in more than thirty different jurisdictions throughout the nation. He has been lead counsel defending employers in collective and class action matters involving the Fair Labor Standards Act and state wage-hour laws. Mr. Rath was the lead attorney as amicus counsel before the U.S. Supreme Court in BCI Coca Cola Bottling of Los Angeles v. U.S. EEOC.
Nationwide, Mr. Rath is a frequent speaker on employment law issues for numerous seminars, businesses and trade association conferences. He has been an instructor or lecturer on employment issues at several colleges and graduate schools. He serves on the Board of Directors and as Vice President for Legislative Affairs for the Northern Virginia Society for Human Resource Management. On developing issues in employment law, he has been quoted in several news publications including The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, and Entrepreneur Magazine, and has been interviewed on television and radio news, including, PBS's Nightly Business Report, WAVY-TV and C-SPAN.
