Jackie Williams joined Keller and Heckman in 1996 and is a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Licensing Specialist as well as the firm's State Pesticide Registration Specialist. While Ms. Williams began her career at Keller and Heckman as a Paralegal/Licensing Specialist with the Telecommunications Practice Group, her responsibilities have expanded greatly since 2004, when she also began working in the area of Environmental Law. She has over 35 years of experience in preparing and filing applications with various federal and state agencies.
As a member of the FIFRA team, Ms. Williams' responsibilities include all aspects of the state pesticide registration process. Employing efficient and cost-effective procedures, Ms. Williams assists clients in obtaining Certificates of Registration for new products, Renewal Certificates of existing product registrations, and applicable Dealer Permits or Licenses (when required) from all state pesticide registration offices in the United States and its Territories - Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Guam. Ms. Williams keeps abreast of state pesticide statutes and regulations, as well as changes in the states' pesticide registration policies and procedures.
With respect to her responsibilities as a Licensing Specialist in the Telecommunications Practice Group, Ms. Williams continues to utilize her expertise and assists clients primarily before the Wireless Telecommunications and Wireline Competition Bureaus of the FCC. She has assisted numerous cellular radio and paging service providers, countless oil and gas companies, electric utilities and other clients of the firm in obtaining and renewing necessary FCC authorizations.
Ms. Williams is currently attending Strayer University. She recently received her Associate Degree in Business Administration and will receive her Bachelor of Science degrees with a double major in Legal Studies and Human Resource Management in the Fall of 2011.
