Crystal Skelton joined Keller and Heckman in 2010. Ms. Skelton practices in the areas of privacy and advertising, business counseling and transactional, product safety, and environmental.
In the privacy and advertising practice, Ms. Skelton is involved in a wide variety of privacy, data security and other consumer protection matters, including compliance with laws and regulations governing commercial email messages, online behavioral advertising (OBA), contests and sweepstakes, endorsements and testimonials, marketing to children, and data breach notification.
Ms. Skelton's business counseling and transactional practice includes advising start-up, established and non-profit entities in formation, internal operation, governance and dissolution issues. She has also represented foreign and domestic entities in the drafting and negotiation of various transactional documents, including asset purchase and sale agreements, stockholder's agreements, and ancillary documents including non-competition agreements, lease agreements, independent contractor agreements, and employment agreements.
In the environmental and product safety practice, Ms. Skelton focuses on environmental regulatory issues relating to clean air matters, green claims, E-Waste, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in consumer and industrial products.
Prior to joining Keller and Heckman, Ms. Skelton was a law clerk at a highly regarded and well-respected complex commercial and environmental litigation and business counseling law firm.
Prior to law school, Ms. Skelton worked at Masry & Vititoe Law Offices in Westlake Village, California. Masry & Vititoe was the firm featured in the movie "Erin Brockovich." Ms. Skelton worked directly with Erin Brockovich and Edward Masry to review potential new cases.
