Christophe Leprêtre joined Keller and Heckman in August 2007.

Prior to joining Keller and Heckman, Christophe worked as a Regulatory Affairs Manager for the European Starch Industry Association (i.e. AAF) in Brussels (Belgium). He worked on several recent EU Food Law changes, monitoring on Food and Feed Contaminants and Additives, Enzymes, Processing aids, Food Contact Materials, GM policy, Health Claims, Labeling, Nutrition, Hygiene, and to a less extent on Biocides and REACH.

He has previously worked as a civil servant with the French Ministry of Agriculture on many of the above issues at the Food (Safety) General Directorate (i.e. DGAL) where he represented France to several European Union's bodies (i.e. meetings of the Council working parties of the EU 27; the Standing Committee of the Food Chain and Animal Health (SCoFCAH), working groups of the European Commission on additives and contaminants) and international meeting (i.e. Codex alimentarius Commission and subsidiary committees; UNEP Biosafety Cartagena Protocol's Meeting Of the Parties and working groups on liability). Christophe spent previously three years within the UN-FAO/WHO Codex alimentarius Commission Secretariat, located at FAO in Rome (Italy), where he acquired global food standards skills. He started his carrier with the French Food and Drink Industry Trade Association (ANIA) in 1999. He received at that time a prize delivered by the Société d'Encouragement de l'Industrie Nationale (i.e. Mongolfier'99 in Agriculture and Food Processing) for its early warnings to the French food industry about the foreseen impacts of the 1997 Kyoto Protocol and related sustainability and food safety issues on the cold chain. Christophe also worked as a trainee for several industries (e.g. edible fats and oils, milk and cheese), where he acquired food production skills.
